No I’am not talking about J.K. Rowling. So Potter fans out there should be dissapointed.

Yesterday, I almost had a big dispute with my fellow colleague. It was a long story (not that long actulally, but I’m not interested to go into details), but it started when I made a joke on my colleague in my company‘s web forum without adding the extra j/k at the end of the sentence. Yes a simple j/k! The simple and highly ignored j/k!

If I use the dreaded j/k (which stands for ‘just kidding’, for computer illiterate out there), everything would be OK and my afternoon would be nicer. But no, I didnt use j/k!

Text-based communication is probably the least effective means of discussion. So everytime you joked about something on malinglist or internet forum, don’t assume that everybody knows you are joking and start putting j/ks as many as possible.

Example:

RS™ is the brightest guy when it comes to IT, Multimedia and Telematics….j/k

j/k

Just like the old saying goes, within the pro’s head there
are few options, even so , for a person with
the beginner’s brain, the world is open up.
