I, personally, against fiscal. This little sucker prevents Indonesian people from going abroad. With recent SBY’s decision not to abolish fiscal in 2005, I feel that the government are being selfish and narrow minded.
Fiscal, or overseas tax, “might” be a big income for the government, so based on the numbers on papers abolishing tax is indeed a bizzare idea. But they forget that there are many things that numbers on paper didn’t indicate.
By opening more opportuniy for Indonesian citizens, Indonesian people got more opportunity to see different cultures, different way of life, and different way to think.
This is highly beneficial for everyone. It’s not something you can count like money, but its benefits will affect every Indonesian and lasts forever.
