Finally I got the opportunity to taste the Chinese dish known as Peking Duck.

My Mother, went to Surabaya the other day, and I asked her to buy Peking Duck, which at that time I tought it was the same thing as Chinese Roast Duck, which I really fond of. Well, it turns out that Peking Duck and Roast Duck is a completely different thing.

Roast duck is basically a simple roasted duck, but beforehand it was marinated with a mixture of honey, malt sugar, hoisin sauce and anise seed powder for 12 hours or so. This results in a very crispy skin and pungent flavor.

Peking Duck, on the other hand, looks like a stir fried mix of beef, onions and paprika, served with roasted duck skin wrapped with a thin bread.

One question remained, does it taste good? If you have a fling with chinese culinary, it is very deliciuos.
